Enrollment Introduction of Foreign Students Summer Camp in 2010

 Success depends on thoughts and details. The related programs are designed to nurture children’s potential abilities by our groups of teachers who are professional, dedicated and patient; Students will learn how to care about others in the natural environment; to build up self-confidence through overcoming hardships; to cooperate with others in the team competitions; and to hone their skills in the process of learning.

 Since Chinese House was established, the concept of school management has been following “originality, high quality, internationalization”. Various and diverse summer camp activities for international students are organized every year. Students from different countries foregather, which provide an efficient experience of studying abroad for them, make them know further more about China and Ningbo.

★ Learn Chinese language ,experience Ningbo
★ Broaden knowledge ,experience and embrace different cultures ,make friends from different countries,
★ Foster students’ communication abilities to living, studying, handling, cooperation and involvement. 
★ Practice operating skills and willingness, improve comprehensive qualities.
★ Visit famous interesting places, such as Tianyi Pavilion,Hemudu Relics, Tiantong Temple, Liangzhu Park, etc..

 The Summer Camp Students are: aged from 10 to 17, with foreign nationality or Chinese origin or from Hong Kong, Tai Wan island, Macao (Chinese and foreign agents and teams approved by Chinese House will be given priority.) 

Program of the Summer Camp

1.Summer camp for transfer students

Students: have preliminary Chinese knowledge

Time: June 1st to 28th every year

Class: transfer into corresponding class

Program: 

a)Take courses in the corresponding grade in the morning

b)Activity class in the afternoon. 60 to 90 mins per period.

c)Visiting and sightseeing in Beijing on Saturday.

d)Participate in various kinds of competitions and activities held in school.

 Main characteristics: Study, live and play games with Chinese students. Improve Chinese language skill rapidly. Have a real personal feeling of studying and living at Chinese House, experience Chinese culture and development.

2.Summer camp:

Student: with little or a little Chinese langue

Time: July 1st to 28th every year.

Class: beginning or intermediate class
 
 Main characteristics: make international friends ,embrace different cultures ,practice out-going personality, get to know Chinese culture, understand cultural development, broaden horizon, enrich knowledge.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

Program

Chinese language: Chinese Pinyin, Chinese dialogue, listening, reading, writing, twister, etc.

Chinese culture: Chinese interesting places, famous mountains and rivers, folk custom, tea art, idiom story, myth story, etc.

Painting and calligraphy: calligraphy, painting

Craft: weaving, paper-cut, pottery art

Literature and art: Dancing, piano, music, folk music

PE: basketball, wushu, table tennis, golf, tennis, badminton, bowling, swimming

Teaching Characteristics
 
 All the teachers in Chonese House Summer Camp are professional and experienced in Chinese language teaching for foreigners. In the many years of  teaching and summer camp organization they’ve summarized  various teaching methods, being good at triggering students’ passions and creating easy and humorous learning atomosphere.

School’s facilities and living condition

Living: Chinese students and foreign students share in the same room. Primary students’ dormitories are distinctive style of “cozy family”,8—10 bedrooms in an apartment ,3—4 students in one room; middle school students live in apartment style dorm,2—4 students in one  room ,Each apartment  equips with shower ,toilet ,air-conditioner,201card telephone, wardrobe etc. Senior high students have good private space and studying conditions, Life teachers are responsible for the pupils’ and students’ life management and assistance  

Hot water supply: 06:30—07:30               21:00---22:30                 

Food: three meals a day served independently, nutritiously, including hot vegetables, cold vegetables, main food, fruit and over 20 kinds of beverages
                                                                                                                      
Sign-up procedure

1.Applicants can sign up in school website ,on line or via fax, with application fee￥1000  per person .                                                                                                          
2.Materials needed

（1） Fill in APLICATION FORM OF CHINESE HOUSE SCHOOL SUMMER CAMP

（2） Three two-can recent photos of the student

（3） The copy of the first page and the visa page of the student’s passport

（4） The original documents of medical examination form from foreign hospital that accord with Chinese government’s demand for going through relevant documents.

（5） The copy of the receipt of the insurance policy that student took out in China against study abroad

3. The expenses should be paid during 15 days prior to entering into the summer camp; formalities of entering into the camp should be gone through by students’ payment receipt.

Payment standard
1. ￥6720/per person/two weeks;￥13440/per person /four weeks tickets . Summer camp expenses comprise of tuition fee, accommodation fee, transportation expenses, health insurance premiums ,the first gate ticket fee while visiting outsides, (except to and fro air tickets ,visa fee, medical fee).
2. The team with above 15 people will be picked up and seen off at the airport free of charge.

Regulation on returning expenses

 All expenses will be returned if the application for resigning from the summer camp is put forward during the week prior to the opening day; Only 80% of all the expenses will be returned if the application for resigning from the summer camp is put forward one day prior to the opening day .All the expenses won’t be returned after entering into the camp. Formalities of returning expenses will be gone through at financial office on the closing day of the summer camp, at the same time, payer’s ID card and the receipt must be presented.
