Ningbo Municipal People’s Government is going to hold 2010 Ningbo International University Students Festival from July 6th-10th, 2010 in Ningbo, in order to have better mutual understanding between foreign university students and their Chinese counterparts, to strengthen friendship, and to promote exchanges and cooperation.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Ningbo, one of the most important port cities in China, enjoys rich historical culture and dynamic economy. In recent years, Ningbo has witnessed a sound economic development and remarkable progress made in its higher education. So far, there are 15 institutions of higher learning in Ningbo, with total students of more than 120,000. Exchanges and cooperation in higher education between Ningbo and foreign countries have been even more frequent.

Therefore, Ningbo Municipal People’s Government is going to hold 2010 Ningbo International University Students Festival from July 6th-10th, 2010 in Ningbo, in order to have better mutual understanding between foreign university students and their Chinese counterparts, to strengthen friendship, and to promote exchanges and cooperation. As an important cultural and educational occasion, the event is comprised of teaching exchange, artistic performance, sports activities, world expo tour, local sightseeing, home stay, evening gala and other colorful interactions. During the Festival, the costs of local accommodation, food and transportation in Ningbo will be covered by our side.

It is with great pleasure that we extend an invitation to you and students from your higher learning institution to attend this event. We believe the Ningbo International University Students Festival will provide young people from both sides with an opportunity of communication and understanding, and further exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture and education between Ningbo and your city.

Proposed Schedule
Day 1: Arrival in Ningbo (pick-up from airport)
18:00: Reception dinner and opening ceremony by Ningbo Municipal People’s Government;

Day 2: Students Activities in Ningbo University of Technology (campus tour, introduction, seminar, etc.,);

Day 3: Shanghai World Expo Tour;

Day 4: Ningbo Tour (Tianyi Pavilion, Tiantong Temple, Beilun Port, Tianyi Square, night tour, etc.,) and field trip to local enterprises;

Day 5: Dongqian Lake Summer Camp, International University Students Festival closing ceremony and Evening Gala;

Day 6: Departure from Ningbo and back home.
